Located in the San Jacinto Mountains, this 200 acre camping preserve offers an escape from the Southern California heat. Enjoy panoramic scenery - these rugged, pine-covered mountains are perfect for summer hiking and winter snowshoeing. Come fish at our pond stocked with catfish, or enjoy the sunny days in our swimming and wading pools.
IMPORTANT DIRECTIONS DUE TO ROAD CLOSURE: Routes 243 from Banning and Route 7 from Hemet are closed.
Use Route 371 through Anza or Route 74 from Palm Desert. Additionally, carry your Idyllwild confirmation in the event of any California Patrol checkpoints regarding limited road use.

From I-10: Take the Idyllwild turnoff at Hwy 243 (in Banning). Proceed 22 miles to Pine Cove on Hwy 243. Look for Marion Ridge Dr, and turn left (Pine Cove Fire Station is on left). Continue a mile to the preserve.
From I-215: Take State Hwy 74 through Hemet to Mt. Center. Then take Hwy 243 through Idyllwild for about 3 to 4 miles to Pine Cove. Turn right on the corner of Marion Ridge Dr and Hwy 243. Look for the Pine Cove Fire Station on the right corner. Continue a mile to the preserve.
From Palm Springs Preserve: Take Washington St to Hwy 111. Turn right on Hwy 111 to Hwy 74 in Palm Desert. Turn left and follow Hwy 74 to Mt. Center, and turn right on Hwy 243. Follow Hwy 243 past Idyllwild about 3 miles to Pine Cove. Turn right on the corner of Marion Ridge Rd. Look for Pine Cove Fire Station on the right corner. Continue a mile to the preserve.
